How much is the deposit?
$350.00 is due along with the rental contract to reserve your dates.  Dates will not be secured and removed from the availability calendar until the deposit and contract are received.  An additional $350 refundable Security Deposit must be paid 7 days prior to arrival.

The balance of the rental fee is due 7 days prior to arrival.  If your reservation is being made less than 7 days prior to your reservation, the full amount (reservation deposit, refundable security deposit and balance of rental fee) must be paid to book your weekend.  If the balance is not received 7 days prior to your reservation, your date will be released for someone else to rent and we will help you choose another date.

Check-in is 10am and check-out is 5pm.

What if I need to change or cancel my reservation?
Every effort will be made to accommodate changes to your reservation. Reservations may be rescheduled within the same calendar year once at no charge.  If a second rescheduling is necessary, you will forfeit your original $350 reservation deposit and you will need to put down another $350 deposit, but will not lose any other monies paid.

Cancellations received 4+ weeks in advance of reservation - full refund.
Cancellations received between 27 days - 14 days of arrival - full refund less $350 reservation deposit.  No refunds will be issued if cancellations are received 14 days or less prior to arrival.

What if I can't get there due to inclement weather?

What should I bring?

~Be sure to bring all of your cropping and craft supplies including plenty of photos.  Some tools are available for you to use (paper cutters, punches and cutting mats).  You'll also want to bring a power strip / extension cord.  While the lighting in the crop room is excellent, you may want your own tabletop light as they are NOT provided.

~If you need a computer or plan to do any digital journaling, please bring your own computer.  A color printer is provided in the crop and craft room and free Wi-Fi is available, but you do need your own computer.

~Bring comfy clothes and slippers so you can fully relax and enjoy your experience.  You'll also want to bring toiletries including body wash/bath soap.  Sheets and pillows are provided for you.  You will need to bring your own towels, wash cloths and kitchen towels.

~Because each person in your group may have different preferences in temperature, you'll want to bring layers like sweatshirts or light sweaters.

~While the kitchen is fully stocked with equipment like crock pot, pots and pans, coffee makers/hot water dispensers, etc, you will want to bring your own food, snacks, beverages, coffee and tea.  Both filter-style coffee pots and a Keurig are available, but you'll need your own coffee and/or k-cups.  Paper products, coffee filters and utensils are provided for your convenience.  Keep in mind that you can also order and pick up food from 2 local restaurants that are located just a couple of miles from the cottage.

~All paper products are provided including toilet paper, paper towels, plates and napkins, for your convenience.  Dish detergent and hand soap are provided, as are hand towels for the bathrooms.  Please do remember to bring your own bath towels, wash clothes and kitchen towels.

What do we do about food?
~Serenity Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to make quick and easy meals - including a crock pot, oven and microwave. We recommend that you pre-make some items ahead of time (like casseroles) and bring them with you to make meal preparation as easy as possible and give you more time for creating, crafting, laughing and relaxing.

If cooking isn't part of your agenda, there is a local restaurant that is easy to get to from Serenity and very close by.  You can call and place your order ahead of time and run down to pick it up.  The restaurant, The Copper Kettle, is located within minutes of Serenity Cottage.

What about massages for our group?
If full relaxation is on your agenda, you may contract with a licensed massage therapist to come to Serenity.  Unfortunately, we can no longer provide you with a list of names of local therapists.

If you do have a massage therapist come to the cottage, we kindly ask (and strongly enforce) that you and your group have slippers or socks ready to be put on BEFORE you get off the massage table.  Massage oils from your feet will leave near-permanent marks on our hardwood floors and stains on our carpeting that are almost impossible to remove.  To help us keep the Cottage in the pristine condition that you are accustom to when you stay with us, we must require that you adhere to this policy without fail.  Oil marks found on the hardwood or carpeting will result in a reduction of your security deposit refund.  Thank you for understanding.

What are your policies on smoking, pets and grills?
Because Serenity Cottage is situated on a wooded lot, for the safety of all guests and the surrounding community, we do not allow smoking inside the cottage nor anywhere on the grounds of Serenity Cottage.  We also can not allow grills or open flames.

Even though we are pet lovers, we kindly ask that you leave your furry friends at home.  We can not allow any pets.
